Verena Tranker

Despite her young age, Verena Tranker is already an in-demand soloist, praised by the press for her “beautiful, delicate, playful, and secure soprano in the high register,” as well as her “stage presence” and “coloratura pearls.” She has repeatedly performed in the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein and has sung several times with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra in Vienna. Engagements have taken her to the MusikTheater an der Wien, the Tirol Festival Erl, the Lehár Festival in Bad Ischl, the Burgtheater Vienna, Stadttheater Fürth, Theater Augsburg, Festspielhaus Worms, and the Ruhrfestspielhaus Recklinghausen. In addition to her work in opera and concert, Verena Tranker is also a passionate performer of Lieder and traditional Viennese songs.

In the 2025/2026 season, she will make her debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus as an outstanding emerging artist as part of the Musica Juventutis concert series. She will also return to the MusikTheater an der Wien and to the Tirol Festival Erl alongside Jonas Kaufmann (broadcast on ORF III). In summer 2026, the young soprano will make her debut at the Summer Arena of the Bühne Baden.

Highlights of the 2024/2025 season include the staged tour Bravissimo! at the MusikTheater an der Wien (featuring excerpts from opera, operetta, and musical: Blondchen, Queen of the Night, Adele, among others); Adele and Voices of Spring waltz alongside Jonas Kaufmann at the Tirol Festival Erl under GMD Asher Fisch; Adele in Die Fledermaus (Strauss) with the NEUE OPERETTE WIEN at venues including the Ruhrfestspielhaus Recklinghausen; Countess Anastasia in Die Csárdásfürstin (Kálmán) at venues including the Scharoun Theater Wolfsburg; and Fantasca in Indigo und die 23 Räuberinnen* (Strauss) at Johann Strauss 2025 in Vienna. In concert, she will be heard in Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Schubert’s Mass in C major in Vienna. In June, she will make her debut at the RSO Radiokulturhaus Vienna as part of the concert Mythos Johann Strauss. Another recital debut will follow in July at the Carinthian Summer Festival under the artistic direction of Nadja Kayali, with Wolfgang Kogert (organ). In summer 2025, she will embark on a concert tour with the Vienna State Opera Ball Orchestra (Adele, Voices of Spring waltz) to Tunisia.
